Athletic Director Mike Smith

After graduating from T.O. High School (an OUHSD school at the time), Mike smith graduated from Califronia State University, Northridge in 1975. He has been teaching English and coaching at ACHS since 1978. He was honored as ACHS Teacher of the year in 1981 and Teacher of the Semester for the fall of 1983. Coach Smith has served as Head Boys Cross Country Coach for the past twenty-one years. His teams have won nine varsity league championships, four county championships, and he led the 1989 team to aCIF and State Championship. That team was named the #1 team in the nation. He has coached numerous other league and county championship teams on the lower levels. He has also served as head track, baseball and girls' basketball coach. Mike Smith earned the position of ACHS's Athletic Director in My of 2001. He and his wife Christine live in Camarillo with their four children.
